I'm Aviv Bekerman, a classically trained Pilates teacher with 10 years of experience in both practice and instruction. After years of teaching and running my own studio in Tel Aviv, I now offer private mat Pilates sessions here in Amsterdam, personalized to support your body, your goals, and your pace.

Whether you're looking to relieve pain, build strength, or simply reconnect with your body through mindful movement, I’ll meet you where you are, at your home or mine.

About me

Aviv Bekerman Classical Pilates

My path to teaching Pilates began with five years of committed personal practice- both mat and apparatus-based. What I found in the classical method was something I hadn’t found anywhere else: a way of moving that nourished both my body and my mind. It gave me strength, clarity, and a deeper connection to myself.

Originally developed by Joseph Pilates and called Contrology, this method centers on moving with awareness and precision. It’s not just exercise—it’s a practice that builds core strength, improves joint mobility, and enhances spinal flexibility. The work is intelligent, challenging, and deeply supportive of the whole body.

I’ve been teaching full-time for the past eight years. For the last three, I ran my own studio in Tel Aviv, equipped with classical apparatuses, a dedicated team of instructors, and a loyal community of over 100 clients who practiced regularly.

Now, recently relocated to Amsterdam, I’m excited to share this work in a more personal way. I offer private mat sessions, tailored to your needs—whether you're recovering from an injury, navigating pregnancy or postpartum, new to Pilates, or simply looking to move with more awareness and strength.

Sessions take place in your home (anywhere in Amsterdam) or in my cozy, light-filled space near De Baarsjes.
